Hello reader! My name is Fiad Muntakim, a student of Professor Macagnone’s English 110 class. I was born and raised in Queens, and my parents are from Bangladesh. Throughout my work, the recurring theme you will notice is references to my Bengali roots. Due to the nature of this class being more of a “language” class rather than an English class, as well as its acceptance of all varieties of language, I believe this would be the perfect opportunity to study and teach others about the complexities of this beautiful language and culture.
Outside of education, I love photography, graphic design, and video editing. I would call myself a pretty creative person. I’ll leave a few of my photos down below.
I hope you learn something new through my work! I’m very proud of the work I have done throughout the semester, from the first to the last drafts, and my translations, and I hope you enjoy it!
